Pendine’s famous sands host racing, running and motorsport through the year. Here’s what’s coming up, so you can plan your stay around the action.

Pendine Sands
Run on the same sands where land speed records were set. Distances include 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon and ultra, on a 10.5km out-and-back course along the firm beach. It is a cup-free event, so runners bring their own bottle for the aid stations.

Pendine Sands
Straightliners bring timed straight-line speed runs to the beach. The 2026 event ran on 2 and 3 May, and 2027 dates have not been announced yet, so check with the organisers before you book around it.

Pendine Sands
The Vintage Hot Rod Association brings pre-1949 hot rods and customs to Pendine for timed runs on the beach, with the fastest cars nearing 140 mph. Spectating from outside the pits is free. The organisers expect to announce 2027 dates in November.

The Let's Go Racing Motocross Club's beach race weekend returns, with youth and adult classes racing on a track built on the sand. Keep an eye on the club's Facebook group for 2027 dates.

Pendine Sands
A weekend of beach motocross run by the Let's Go Racing Motocross Club, with youth and adult riders racing on a track built on the sand. Saturday finished with a 90-minute adult beach race. The photos on our Local Area page are from this weekend.
